Unveiled at Baselworld in 1996, the Reference 5035 was the first watch to show the public Patek's newly patented annual calendar caliber - a complication that automatically recognizes 30- and 31-day months and only needs to be set manually once a year, on February 28th.
The 37 mm case made of solid platinum frames a black dial with Roman numerals and three windows for day, date and month - clearly structured. The sapphire crystal back provides a view of the automatic caliber 315/198 with a 44-hour power reserve.
The watch is worn on a black leather strap with a Patek platinum folding clasp.
Discontinued and now on the rise as an underrated collector's item, the 5035P in platinum is one of the rarest versions of this historical reference.
